Now that Halloween is over, will there be one next year? Or the year after that? Let me give you a sneak peak into the future. Warning: the story we’re about to tell is going to be quite spooky. Be gone, the faint of heart! 🎃 🦇

If you’re a big fan of the Halloween festivities and couldn’t imagine not celebrating every year, there are some things worth thinking about. 🎃 👻 🧙‍♀️

Why would there be no Halloween? Here’s the picture:

• There is no proper autumn to begin with 🍂 As the temperatures didn’t drop, neither did the leaves.

• No pumpkins managed to grow 🎃 The unpredictable weather made it impossible through droughts/floods and extreme temperatures.

• You have no costume for the Trick-or-Treat tradition 🧙‍♀️ The materials were either unaffordable, or simply too scarce.

• There is no need to decorate the rooms 🕸️ Milder temperatures throughout the year can invite various pests and invasive species to your home.

• There is no chocolate or nuts for your treats 🍬 These can’t be produced anymore due to climate change.

Does that sound scary?

We simply don’t have the luxury to take things for granted anymore. This example only goes to show that the climate change is and will be influencing all of us to some extend. The spooky truth. 👻

But the picture painted above is not our reality yet and it doesn’t have to be. It’s a call to action. And we all have our part to play in it.
